e-denture®
Gum Scanning – no more impressions. The accuracy of gum scanning is amazing.
Natural teeth shapes – the quality of the CAD design software makes it possible to either copy and mirror your remaining teeth, or create a set of dentures with natural lifelike teeth only limited to crowns in the past.
Functional trial dentures – prior to the big reveal, we now have the option of a useable trial denture. This means you can wear something until the final stages are complete. Pretty good eh!
Accuracy – the accuracy of the final CNC machining of the denture(s) is extremely accurate and produces a nice satin finish. This finish is comfortable and will lead to far less uncomfortable bits!
Latest technology. As a pioneering denture laboratory we have been using this technology daily since 2016. The experience from our staff and the huge array of options will allow us to find a solution for you.
We have 3d printers, 5 axis mills for machining. We can hold your denture file (or give it to you) if you lose it. We can easily take a copy of your denture if you want us to hold it on file, we try to make the technology affordable and more accessible.
Our staff are constantly trained as technology changes, it takes a surprising amount of time to completely understand the process and the software. You can be assured that our e-denture® system is evolving with the times.

Frequently Asked Questions
No — that’s one of their biggest advantages. Digital dentures are made from an intraoral scan of your gums using a small handheld scanner, which means no putty, no gagging, and no waiting for impression material to set. The scan is more accurate than traditional impressions and far more comfortable to take.
Yes. If you have a denture you love and you’d like a backup or a replacement made to the same shape, the existing denture can be scanned and the design saved as a digital file. Denture South can hold this file for you (or supply a copy), so a replacement can be made quickly without starting the design process from scratch.
Very. The denture is designed in CAD software and then either CNC-milled from a solid block or 3D-printed, which produces a smoother satin finish and a more precise fit than hand-finishing alone can achieve. The improved accuracy typically means fewer pressure points and fewer adjustments after fitting.
A trial denture (or “try-in”) is a working version of your final denture you can wear and assess before the finished version is made. With digital dentures, the trial is functional enough to actually use day-to-day, so you can check the fit, the look of the teeth, and how it feels when you eat and speak — and request changes before the final denture is committed to.
They sit in a similar price range to good-quality traditional dentures, with prices varying based on materials and complexity. Many patients find the gains in fit, accuracy, and the ability to store a digital file for future replacements outweigh any small price difference. The timeline is generally comparable to traditional dentures — usually a few weeks from initial scan to fitted denture, depending on complexity and how many trial stages are needed. Once your design file exists, replacement dentures can typically be made faster than starting from scratch.
